We survived our first country although I must say it can be rough getting around. Around 1:30pm on August 2nd we left to the ports of Patras Greece, which is about a 4 hour bus ride from Athens. There we hopped onto the ferry that would take us across the Aagean Sea for 15 1/2 hours into Italy. To my surprise the ferry seemed more like a cruise ship minus the fun whirl pool, shuffle board and the unlimited soft served ice cream (which really is the best part of a cruise), but it had a restaurant, a casino, buffets, and a beautiful view.

| Ya I know my hair is hot like that, watch out Alfalfa!! | <><> >>
We spent most of our time enjoying the cool air on the deck, and attempting to settle into our "aircraft style" seats. Max and I had purchased 1st class, which would have been dorm type rooms....perfect, but nope they were under construction and the horror settled in as they lead us to a room full of seats EXACTLY like an airplane. Seriously? I thought the long flights were over :-( So it was another unfortunate night of tossing and turning, and switching off who got to lay down across the 3 seats and who had to sit up. But I guess we couldn't complain, people were sleeping all throughout the boat; on the floor, on booths in the restaurant, we even saw a family setting up a tent out on a deck in the cold crazy winds. We gave up around 5:30 in the morning and went to top of the ship to watch the sun rise. It was quiet, as we were the only ones other than workers awake at that hour, and it was gorgeous.
Then we decided to just play around.............................
It was getting pretty windy!!!!

Hey mom and dad, I was starting to wonder if you guys had been on here, ya I think you have to have an account to post anything, so im glad Angie is helping you out. Everything is great so far, except I have a rash or irritation on my legs and stomach that I am going to a pharmacy about tomorrow. You know me, always have issues at the worst times haha. I'll keep you updated though. Love you and miss you lots!!!
