Greece baby!!!!

Alright fam, we made it to EUROPE!!!!! The flight was pretty rough, not gonna lie. It started well except Max and I were in the middle of a 4 seat row and no extra room. I was thinking for International flights they would keep the seats more open, but nope I was way off. But we started optimistic, put on some free movies and TV shows.....Candace you would be proud of me, I watched Glee, not too shabby :-) and I believe Max watched Sideways. We then had our in flight meal of chicken and potatoes, with some fruit cake dessert thing and couldn't be happier......until it was time to sleep and we realized nope, not gonna happen. I believe we got about an hours worth of sleep during our first 8 hour flight with one chance to get up and stretch our legs...yowsa!! We had a layover in Copenhagen Denmark, which by the way looked more like a mall than an airport, and then got on a 3 1/2 flight into Athens.

Backpacking anyone?

This is where our adventure started, obviously we had no idea where anything was but we found our way to a bus stop that took us to the city center and from there had to find our way to where the Marriott shuttle could pick us up. I was very shocked to see how busy the streets were, there were more scooters going around in and out of traffic than there were cars. We did arrive at our hotel later that evening and dropped off our heavy packs so that we could get our walking on!!

We were able to see some of the ruins on our first evening of walking around, we also walked up to the top of this hill and were able to look over Greece. I must say, being down in the middle of Greece was dirty and busy, but up on top everything looks so beautiful and perfect!!!!

It wasn't until the next day that we were able to make our way up to the Acropolis and Parthenon.

  1. Hooray!! Pictures of Greece. You are lookin' pretty hot Jack and I am digging the pink pants; well they look pink. I am so jealous, not of your stinkin' long flight, but the pictures of Greece are so beautiful. During your travels in Europe are you planning on going to Rome to fight like a Gladiator, if so take a picture, that would be hot! I am SO glad you guys made it there safely and are enjoying the sites. I love you.
